The activities that have been planned for this program range from simple to complex.
The activities that have been planned for this program range from simple to complex. As such, beginners will feel at ease as they learn the basic concepts of the English language such as Phonics, Grammar, and Vocabulary. Participants will begin competent and confident in reading a wide range of text. Thereafter, they will begin exploring Creative writing and Storytelling. This program aims to enhance the participants’ self-expression and creativity while boosting their self-esteem and confidence. Opportunities will be provided for them to engage in dialogue as well as enhance socio-emotional skills through stories. Special consideration has been acknowledged to the varying needs of the participants thus scaffolding and support will also be provided by Kethlyn.
Kethlyn has been a freelance trainer since 2013, specializing in Visual Arts, Life skills, Parent-child workshops, and career talks. During her time as a trainer, Kethlyn attained Promising Star Trainer and Star Trainer awards for 3 consecutive years. Kethlyn is a MOE registered trainer, and an AMIS, and a PAL certified trainer. Additionally, Kethlyn attained a Diploma with Merit in Early Childhood Education in 2012, a Certificate in teaching Speech and Drama in 2014, and a Certificate of Achievement for 'En Route to Inclusivity' (NAC-AEP) in 2020.
Kethlyn is inspired by children and youths and enjoys working with them and adults as she believes that learning is a never-ending journey. She believes that so much more can be done for the community and she is excited to be a part of the discussion and works.
