About Tutor

Experience:
Mr Yeo has been a Primary School teacher in Singapore since 2005. He scored A grades for his PSLE English Language, ‘O’ Level English Language and ‘A’ Level General Paper Examinations. He graduated from the National Institute of Education / Nanyang Technological University with a Bachelors of Science in Education(Honours) specialising in teaching English Language and Physical Education. He has taught students of ages 7 to 13 in schools and prepared them for the Primary School Leaving Examinations for English Language. He has been an examiner for the PSLE Oral Exams and invigilator for the PSLE Listening Comprehension and Paper 2 Examinations. He has been a marker for the PSLE English Language Paper 1 and 2 Examinations. He has also set English Language examination papers in his own school.

Methodology:
As a private tutor, Mr Yeo works with Primary and Secondary school students to help them fulfill their full potential in the English Language. He is able to analyse and identify areas of weaknesses and strengths to work on. He consistently achieves value-added grades for
all of his students through a methodical approach together with strategies to help students achieve their potential.He is passionate about teaching the English Language as it impacts the individual’s ability to communicate with the world which is the bedrock to their success. He has students from primary to secondary school for tuition taking them through PSLE to O Levels.

Results:
In 2019, he tutored 8 P6 students and they achieved 6As and 2Bs for PSLE. They maintained or improved by a grade from their Prelims.
In 2020, 7 P6 students improved by 1-2 grades for the PSLE with the highest achieving an A*.
In 2021, all 7 P6 students improved by at 1 - 3 AL in the PSLE.
