Phonics is a way of teaching children how to read and write.
Phonics instruction is to teach students the most common sound-spelling relationships so that they can decode, or sound out words. Research has shown that skilled readers attend to almost every word in a sentence and process the letters that compose each of these words. To become skilled, fluent readers, children need to learn strategies that include using knowledge of sound-spelling relationships, in other words, an understanding of phonics.
I am an early childhood teacher.
I have 10 years of teaching experience.
I handled nursery, kinder and first-grade classes.
I can teach kids to learn how to read and help strengthen their comprehension skills as well.
I teach numbers too. I do agree with George Evans’ quote that says “Every child can learn. Just not on the same day or in the same way.”
Indeed, every child is capable of learning. They are unique individuals and each has his or her own way of learning, his or her own style, and his or her own pace.
