Well, it doesn’t have to be that way! With the right approach, it is possible to learn to swim without having to fear water and without having to flail your arms and legs wildly to stay afloat.
My name is Quah Ting Wen, I am a national athlete and I have been swimming for Singapore since the age of 12. I have been to 7 Southeast Asian Games, 3 Asian Games, 3 Commonwealth Games, 6 World Championships, and 2 Olympic Games. I hold the national records in the 50m, 100m and 200m Freestyle, as well as the national short-course records in the 50m, 100m, 200m Freestyle and 50m Butterfly. I swam and captained the UCLA Swimming and Diving team, and was an All-American at the 2013 and 2014 NCAA Championships. I was picked up by the professional swimming league DC Trident in 2019, and have represented them for the last two seasons at the International Swimming League (ISL). I love sharing and teaching and have a keen eye for detail.
