This program not only aims to enhance the participants' fine motor skills, but it also aims to boost the participants’ self-esteem and confidence.

The activities that have been planned for the Visual Arts program, range from simple to complex. As such, beginners will feel at ease as they learn the basic concepts of elements of Art and Design such as lines, shape, color, and texture. Then participants will advance to more complex projects that would encourage self-expression and creativity in order to boost the participants’ self-esteem and confidence. The program also aims to enhance the participants’ fine motor skills, perseverance, and dedication towards completing the tasks that have been laid out for them. Special consideration has been acknowledged to the varying needs of the participants in the class, and the materials chosen will allow the participants to explore and enhance their skillsets without compromising on their safety. Scaffolding and support will also be provided by Kethlyn.

Please note that participants will be required to obtain their own set of art materials before the start of class. You will only need paper, pencils, and coloring materials for the first lesson. Kethlyn will inform you of the art materials needed and where to get them in the first week of the program so that you have ample time to get them for the rest of the lessons. Thank you!
Kethlyn has been a freelance trainer since 2013, specializing in Visual Arts, Life skills, Parent-child workshops, and career talks. During her time as a trainer, Kethlyn attained Promising Star Trainer and Star Trainer awards for 3 consecutive years. Kethlyn is a MOE registered trainer, and an AMIS, and a PAL certified trainer. Additionally, Kethlyn attained a Diploma with Merit in Early Childhood Education in 2012, a Certificate in teaching Speech and Drama in 2014, and a Certificate of Achievement for 'En Route to Inclusivity' (NAC-AEP) in 2020.
Kethlyn is inspired by children and youths and enjoys working with them and adults as she believes that learning is a never-ending journey. She believes that so much more can be done for the community and she is excited to be a part of the discussion and works.
